Time for Change.

3 Signs You Need to Change Up Your Life

The moment when change is necessary for your life can be challenging to pinpoint. Sometimes we seem to hover on the edge of change, waiting for a reason to push us over the precipice. This is not always the case, though. Sometimes the signs that you need to take a leap of faith instead of waiting to be pushed are right in front of us, we just need help identifying them.

  1. You’re Low on Energy and Bored

You’re starting and ending your day with barely a drizzle of energy and feel bored by every moment of your day.

  1. You’re Apathetic

You no longer care about your work, your home, or really anything pertaining to your existence. Note apathy is different from depression.

  1. You’re Jealous

The lives of others seem intriguing and fun, and you find yourself being jealous of them.

What do you do if you relate to one or more of these signs? Take the necessary steps:

  1. Find What Energises You

There has to be some part of your day, even a tiny part, that you look forward to. Something that leaves you feeling invigorated and that you hate to move on from. Once you identify that little piece, take the time to explore how you can make that a more prominent part of your day. Can you spend more time reading or writing, or maybe you really enjoy cooking dinner nightly?

  1. Explore Your Interests

Similar to finding what energises you, consider what interests you have had in the past or have now. Go back to the basics of those interests and look for more ways to incorporate them into your life. This may include picking up a forgotten hobby or maybe seeking a career path that allows you to do what you love daily.

  1. Question Your Jealousy

Jealousy can be an ugly burden to bear, but sometimes you need to question why you are jealous of someone else. Are you jealous of their personal life? Are there changes you can make that will help you to align your reality with your desires? Questioning why you are insecure and how you can stop being jealous may open new doors of opportunity for you and give you an idea of what direction your changes should go.

If the signs of a needed change are hovering above you, stop wallowing in the discomfort of boredom, apathy, and jealousy. Take the steps necessary to create change and happiness in your life.

6 Things Trying to Tell You It’s Time to Change

Sometimes we find ourselves itching for a change, wanting something different and new. However, many times when changes are most needed, we have no idea. We, as humans, can be oblivious to the most obvious of signs, bumbling through our days with abandon and unhappiness. The signs are there in front of you, telling you it’s time to start a change. Take a moment to stop, be still, and decide if these signs are present in your life.

  1. You Forget You Can Change

Are there aspects of your life that you are unhappy with, that you deal with daily but wish you didn’t have to? Maybe you have forgotten that you can change, to make changes in your life. Consider if the problems in your life are ones that you can take steps to change or improve.

  1. You Forget You Deserve a Good Life

Sometimes we have to settle for something less than a good life. This does not mean that you don’t deserve a good life. If you are consistently setting for less than this, you have most likely forgotten that you deserve the best of life as well. It might be time to ask for more.

  1. You Turn Molehills into Mountains

Are little irritations ruining your day? Allowing minor issues to manifest into more significant problems that consume your day is not only unhealthy but is also a sign that it’s time to start initiating changes that will allow you to ignore those minor inconveniences.

  1. Nostalgia Becomes an Appealing Habit

Nostalgia is good. Remembering days gone by and happy memory is an integral part of a healthy life and culture. But, if you lose hours to thinking of better times and pastures that were greener instead of living in your present life and appreciating where you are at currently, you may need to start initiating changes.

  1. You Ask, “Why Me?”

When something doesn’t go your way, stop and think about the questions that you ask yourself. Why do I have to live with mental illness? Are you asking ‘blaming’ questions, or are you asking questions about your next steps and what you can do better next? The type of questions you ask can let you know when it’s time to make a change.

  1. You Have No Passion

Do you have passions in your life? If there is nothing in your life that gives you joy or happiness, then it is definitely time to consider a change.

Change is a big thing. It can be difficult, take a long time, and force you to make uncomfortable changes. However, taking the time to examine your day to day life will give you insight into the changes you need to make.

10 Solid Reasons to Change Right Now

Change is scary. Change is uncomfortable. Change is necessary. There are a lot of positive quotes about change that litter the internet. Those sayings aside, below are 10 solid reasons why you should open your heart and mind to change right now, and experience the benefits, no matter how scary and uncomfortable it may seem.

  1. Growth

We all need to grow physically, mentally, spiritually, and in so many other ways. Initiating changes in your life can allow for growth in all areas. Learning new ideas, exploring different cultures, or even learning more about yourself.

  1. Flexibility

This doesn’t mean yoga unless you want to make that change. This means learning to get along with others, exploring new schedules, stepping outside of your comfort zone. Learning flexibility will give you the ability to adapt quickly and resiliently when life throws you fireballs.

  1. Be Better

Making changes in your life will allow you to become better in different areas. Physically stronger, more resilient, or maybe you can start changes that will enable you to be a better spouse, friend or parent.

  1. Re-Evaluate

Reinforcing or re-evaluating your life and your perspective means making changes that will push you. Sometimes this will result in making a change for the better, or it can result in reinforcing your present beliefs and giving you a renewed reason to stick with them.

  1. Snowballing

Little changes can add up to significant changes. Just a small change can lead to a new life you never thought was in your reach.
